Gary Hayes – Trust Lead, Specialist and Alternative Provision

Gary began his career as a PE teacher in mainstream education before moving into alternative provision, where he became Headteacher and led a successful alternative provision for seven years.

During this time, Gary developed strong partnerships with mainstream schools to support pupils to re-engage with education and successfully reintegrate where appropriate. He supported the provision to achieve consistently good Ofsted outcomes, with outstanding features.

Gary is passionate about inclusion and ensuring that every child and young person has the same opportunities to succeed, regardless of their circumstances or educational journey. He believes that every young person should feel valued, understood and supported, and that with the right relationships, opportunities and expectations, all children can thrive and achieve their potential.
