Henry Goldson – Trust Pastroal Lead
Henry is the Trust Pastoral Lead for Blackdown Education Partnership, working across the Trust’s primary and secondary schools to strengthen pastoral provision, with a particular focus on attendance, behaviour, inclusion and student engagement.
Henry began his career in primary education before moving into secondary, progressing through middle, pastoral and senior leadership roles, most recently as Deputy Headteacher at Cullompton Community College. His experience across both phases, alongside his experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead, has given him a valuable understanding of the educational journey and the importance of early intervention, strong transitions and consistent support. Holding the NPQH, Henry brings this breadth of experience to his Trust-wide role.
Henry is passionate about the role strong pastoral leadership plays in improving outcomes for children and young people. He believes in combining high expectations with strong relationships and a genuine understanding of the individual child, working collaboratively across BEP to strengthen practice and ensure every child feels known, valued and that they belong, with the support and opportunities to thrive.
