Laura White - Headteacher, Orchard Grove Primary School

Laura is the Headteacher of Orchard Grove Primary School. She began her career in education in South East London, initially working as a teaching assistant before becoming a class teacher after graduating with a First-Class Honours Degree in Primary Education.

Returning home to Somerset, Laura joined the Blackdown Education Partnership, first as part of the leadership team at Wellesley Park and later as Deputy Headteacher at IKB Primary School. Before entering teaching, Laura worked in the performing arts industry as both a performer and teacher.

Laura is passionate about child development and ambitious for every child to achieve their very best. Her values are deeply rooted in community, inclusion and ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. A warm and positive practitioner, Laura is committed to creating a school where every child develops a deep sense of belonging and is empowered to flourish both academically and personally.
